In the Revolutionary Courts, the convictions of political prisoners are taken place without the presence of a lawful jury. Officially, the regime sees no one as a political prisoner, when in reality these people are held captive based on their political thoughts. These sentences for political prisoners are missing definition.
There is none neutral or unbiased judge, and these judges resort to vulgarity and insults. The presence of the lawyer plays no effect, as the fate of the convicted is determined before trial. The Intelligence Ministry and the sentry army determine most sentences.
Now, we will give you a brief description of the prisoners in cell 3 of Evin prison:
1) Sadegh Sistani sentenced to life imprisonment: after 10 years serving imprisonment still has not seen daylight.
2) Mansour Kongdareh sentenced to 15 years imprisonment: his imprisonment term has come to an end however the regime is not willing to set him free.
3) Behrouz Javid Tehrani, victim of the July ’99 unrest, sentenced to 15 years imprisonment: he was transferred to a torturous cell from day one.
