The Frightening Conditions for Political Prisoners in Iran (Part IV)

(Continuation from Part III)

In Evin prison, 209 incarceration cells and portions of 240 belonging to the Intelligence Ministry, as well as incarceration cell 325 belonging to the sentry army, which is infested with bugs and louses. In reality, prison 59 of the sentry army has been transferred to 325 in Evin.

The excess of prisons of Security Forces, which at times transfers political prisoners to this station, exists physical torture, in Tehran there exists many private and seclude prisons which appear as homes.

Now, we will announce names of several inhumane and a few torturers:

1) Judge Hedad of the Islamic Revolutionary Court Branch 26, whose real name is Hassan Zareh Dehnabi. This is the most cold-blooded who has sentenced political prisoners to unbearable consequences.

2) Judge Haghani of the Islamic Revolutionary Court Branch 2. This is the most merciless judge of political prisoners, sentencing cruel consequences. He has sentenced Mehrdad Lohrasbi to death, following the July �99 unrest.

3) Judge Kavoosi of the Islamic Revolutionary Court Branch 8. He has sentenced Akbar Mohammadi, captive student from the July �99 unrest, to death.

4) Judge Mortezavi, known as the meat marketer of publications, has a vicious enemy-like state against editors and journalist. He has closed down several newspapers and publications, and had addressed heavy punishment against freedom-loving journalists and editors.

5) Judge Ahmadi of the Islamic Revolutionary Court Branch 3, whose real name is Moghaddasi. He gives no mercy towards prisoners; he has swiped prisoners� records and has sentenced prisoners to harsh imprisonment without legitimate evidence.

6) Seyyed Majid Poursif, interrogator and torturer and one of the evils of the regime, of the Islamic Revolutionary Court Branch 26 working beside Judge Hedad. He takes proud by being referred to as a torturer, continuously addresses insults, beatings, vulgarity and suppression against political prisoners and their families. He is a well-known thug of the regime who dancing with joy when torturing a victim. At times, he has stood in place of Judge Hedad at Branch 26.
